What I imagine an extra terrestrial would think after visiting us

lyrics

Spaceman

Said the spaceman - to the mother ship:
“After 3 days here I fear there's no point in going further...
There's no intelligent life down here"

Spaceman came down to Earth not so long ago
Looking for samples, digging up soil
Flying over London, Paris and Los Angeles
Settled in a place where they pump alot of oil

There in Houston spaceman learned alot of things
Businessmen and lawyers taught him how to steal
And how to weave a lie using bits and pieces of the truth -
It doesn't really matter who gets burned

But the spaceman shook his head and said: "Oh no -
I don't believe a word that you say...
I won't be a partner in this crime...
I think that you're all running out of time"

repeat refrain

Spaceman then left for New York City
'cause he heard alot of stories he couldn't believe
So landing right smack in the middle of Times
Were pushers and junkies and hookers and thieves

A mugger came up from behind and said:
"Give me you're money, and don't delay"...
Spaceman gave him a puzzled look
And zapped that mugger with his gamma ray

repeat refrain

So spaceman got into his hundred million billion megawatt microwave, flying machine
And started heading back to his planet 7 light years from the Milky Way
But as his ship rose to the sky he thought how humans push and shove
So he skywrote a message for us to see
And all that it said was a word called "Love"

repeat refrain
